A circa 1920 Tudor home in Newton had great bones and architectural details but lacked connection and flow. This project was completed in three phases starting with the first floor living areas and then renovating the master suite. New furnishings, custom window treatments & accent pillows, fresh paint, custom built-in cabinetry, and improved lighting make the spaces more refined and cohesive. We also enlarged the opening between the family room and a little-used sun porch to create an open space with a game table, bench seating, and plenty of storage for games. Radiant heat flooring, better insulation, and new windows were installed to make the space warm and energy efficient. In the master suite we took an unused space over the family room and repurposed it into the master bedroom. We turned the existing bedroom into a dressing room and expanded the master bathroom to create separate showering, bathing, and vanity areas for the clients. Construction was by Fresh Start, Inc.
